Will you take a few minutes, and contact your Members of Congress to show your support?

The bipartisan Allied Health Workforce Diversity Act will create a grant funding program to increase opportunities for individuals who are from underrepresented backgrounds, in the professions of occupational therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, speech language pathology, and audiology. The funding would support evidence based to strategies to attract, recruit, and retain students from underrepresented backgrounds, including ethnic and racial minorities, people with disabilities, and those from rural, underserved areas. These strategies include community outreach, creating or expanding mentorship and tutoring programs, and providing scholarships and stipends to students.
